Yesterday was a monumental moment for CamSpace!
We launched our first large, ultra cool campaign for the new Samsung touch mobile phones along with the leading advertising agency Mccaan Erickson.
It is a website that you control using hand gestures (minority report style) using any webcam. It was implemented as an ActiveX and as a FireFox extension so the install is really simple!
check it out, we’d love to hear your thoughts:
Hi All!
It’s been a few months since our last entry. It’s not because there wasn’t much going on, it was more because there was too much going on
Either way we thought we’d update you on the new stuff we’ve been working on.
We have developed CamSpace to run from within the browser as an ActiveX (soon you will get access to it, we promise) . This means that in addition to supporting any web cam we can also run from within any browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer). We’ve also developed the ability to lock on a particular product or object and make sure only that can be a controller.
This has let us do really great things with advertisers.
See a quick video showing what we can do:

Our value proposition for advertisers and interactive agencies is:
- Sales acceleration – using advertisers products, web and a pc we can create interactive motion tracking games running over the internet
- Emotional bond between product and consumer – as you use the product and experience a really unique activity you emotionally bond with the product
- Maximum exposure – Our technology runs over the Internet and using any pc - meaning we can reach the mass consumers easily
- Support for POS activities – we are also able to run in POS or attraction points as a stand
- Viral and word-of-mouth marketing – the experience creates a lot of buzz and word of mouth advertising! People tell their friends about it!
- Unique experience – brand yourselves as different! Not part of the pact!
Recently we went out to the streets to film people having fun with CamSpace for the first time.
Check out the My First Time video:

So if you know anyone that might find our technology useful, do not hesitate to direct them to us!
More news soon to come…

Ready to get going? Check out the download page and start experiencing games like never before!
The CamSpace team has been working ’round the clock to bring you the next beta version!
Beta 7 is going to be a significant upgrade, with many new features and bugfixes. Ease-of-use, emulation-creation workflow, and integration with a central emulation repository have been our top priorities. We will release Beta 7 as an Open Version without the need for a registration key.
For obvious reasons, CamSpace Beta 7 will not be released in July. Please stay tuned – the release is not far away. We are aware that many registration keys have expired. You are welcome to visit the Serial Request page, to renew your license key.
We apologize for the delay, but trust us – it will be well worth the wait.
The CamSpace Team
Hello again –
After a long and exhausting battle with a quite unforgiving bug, we are finally cleared and ready to continue preparing CamSpace for the general public.
We have sent invitations to all eligible beta requests.
If you have not received an invitation, and would like to, please sign up here. Eligible beta candidates will receive an invitation as soon as possible!
For the list of recent changes, see our Change Log.
Remember – we want to hear your feedback! Please send it to beta@cam-trax.com.
We would also like to extend our thanks to the many beta testers who helped us discover and finally track down this last stability bug.
Last Sunday night, CamSpace was released to a small, select group of Beta testers.
We are working hard at perfecting the platform for a larger release (a few thousands) in the next two weeks.
Stay tuned for more updates.

From this day forward, thou shalt know my name is CamSpace!
- We have decided to release only free versions of the product. We will never charge users for the software.
- We are currently getting ready to release a BETA version for Windows. We can’t talk about a specific time period, but soon. Very soon.
- A version for Mac is on our to-do list. Linux is as well.
- We are currently a small garage operation and are overwhelmed by the attention and excitement our video created. We promise to grow to the challenge as soon as possible and make good on our plans.
- Bloggers – Thank you very much!!! Your work breathed new life into our work (and got us addicted to youtube). You drive us forward on all levels and together we will revolutionize the industry.
And the people rejoiced.
Stay tuned for further updates!
This last Thursday, we had the unique pleasure of presenting Cam-Trax to the sharp heads of StartupSeeds. Pictures after the jump!
We are off to give a presentation to the wonderful young minds of StartupSeeds! Stay tuned for further updates.
